Doing sit-ups and other abdominal exercises is not only important for adjusting your abdominal muscles, but also helps you improve balance and stability, making it easier for you to perform normal activities. However, in some cases, sit-ups can cause testicular pain and indicate groin injuries. See a doctor for treatment.

Testicular pain
Your testicles are very sensitive, so even minor injuries can cause testicular pain. Infections in the testes, hernias, torsion and fluids can also cause testicular pain. Some of the causes of testicular pain may be severe. If you do not treat it in time, it may lead to infertility, so please tell the doctor to determine the appropriate treatment for your condition.
pubic symphysis
A potential cause of testicular pain after sit-ups is pubic symphysis, which is inflammation of the pubic symphysis, which connects half of the tissue pelvis of both. According to an article published in the "American Family Doctor" in October 2001, if the inflammation is located near the front of the pubic symphysis, sit-ups can cause this pain.
Neural compression
If you train your abdominal muscles too much, you can oppress the groin nerves and pass your abdominal muscles from the scrotum. Your groin nerve may also be injured by direct trauma. However, compression of the inguinal nerve is not common. Your doctor may recommend topical corticosteroid injection or surgery depending on the type of pain involved.
Notes
Various problems can cause testicular pain, and it may be difficult to distinguish some of them. Diagnosis requires the services of a trained medical professional. Other potential causes of groin pain include sports spasms, groin rupture, and fractures. Although these are not necessarily related to sit-ups, they may need to be excluded.
