Can running help with sinus infection?

Running is not the typical treatment that most people think of when they help relieve symptoms of sinus infection, but running can help temporarily relieve nasal congestion. Sinusitis is an infection that occurs in the sinus cavity and can cause severe congestion, sinus headaches, postnasal drip, and loss of taste and smell. If running makes you feel worse, stop exercising and call your doctor. Sinus infections require a diagnosis by the doctor as the most effective treatment.

If you continue to have sinusitis, you should reduce the life and strength of your workout until you feel better. Exercise on one side helps maintain overall health, and over-application can cause your condition to prolong.
