What is a Bedding Set?
What comes in a bedding set has changed over the years as people look to customize their bed to their own temperature and aesthetic preferences, but generally speaking, a bedding set usually includes (or you should plan to buy):
- A flat sheet;
- A fitted sheet;
- A quilt, duvet or coverlet;

When shopping for a warm bedding set, fabrics are key. Look for fabrics that insulate, but don’t overheat. For sheets, consider flannel, brushed cotton (instead of crispier, cooler percale) or linen. Texture can add coziness and warmth too: Faux fur, waffle-weaves, velvet and so on. Blankets may transition from light cotton coverlets to down comforters, which vary in price and warmth.
